Animal Rights and Therapy Through Animals
Animals have been my passion in life since I was a young child. My greatest love being horses. I feel that they are caring animals, and have so much to offer to everyone. This is why I hope to help with therapy for the disabled with horses. All animals are amazing creatures, that are often neglected by humans, and I hope to make a difference for them

Dogwood Festival Queen's Ball

The night I won 2008-2009 Charlottesville Dogwood Queen. Wow, this was a magical night, and the night that changed my life for the rest of my life. I will have always remembered this night rather I was blessed or not to receive the title, because the Dogwood festival gave to me one of the best moments of my life at this ball. This was allowing my grandfather to escort me out in front of everyone presenting me as if I were royalty. I will never forget this time we shared together, for I can still see the stars twinkling in his eyes of how proud he was till this day! With out the Dogwood festival I would never of had this memory, along with all of the many others that they have given me. All of my family was here for me on this night supporting me all the way, dancing the night away, as we awaited the big moment. I will never forget the feeling of anticipation felt that night while my fellow princesses and I awaited together to see who would be awarded. When my name was called my eyes teared up with joy, for this was a moment I had craved since I was Little Miss. Madison 1995 and I layed my eyes on that years Queen! As my mind raced with excitement and shock I had to giggle with Miss. Virginia when she let out a big "Woooohooo!" for me and kissed me on the cheek! That was so special! As my knees shook with shock as Delishia placed the crown on my head I seen my families faces filled with joy, and my grandfather dance a priceless jig across the floor! There were so many joyous tears shed this night, and I will always remember every single moment of this spectacular night, and week. I am so proud and so honored to be chosen to represent Charlottesville Dogwood Festival, and I thank everyone for giving me this wonderful opportunity in my life.

Relay For Life  Saturday
This was an amazing event! I met some really great people, and one really adorable little girl Chloe! She really wanted to talk to the "Princess", and we took a picture together. I also went to one booth where I was able to participate in a scavenger hunt that taught me about cancer and treatments. The kids here even dressed me up like a "Scientist" and took a picture with me using some of the tools you can find in a lab! I can't forget my first walk around the track with Brook while I carried a huge bundle of purple and white balloons in support for our team, Princesses with a Purpose! I will also never forget one of the funniest things I have ever seen, this was the Miss. Mr. pageant. A man from all of the teams dressed up like a girl and went around the track raising money for their team! This was hysterical! I enjoyed my time here, and appreciate all of the hard work that everyone put into it to make it a success. I can't wait to come back next year!

  Culpeper Parade
My first parade as the Dogwood Queen! Shall I say, Wow! What a crowd!  There were so many smiling faces here for the Culpeper parade! It is such an amazing feeling to see so many people excited to see you! I can't begin to describe the feeling you get when adorable little children smile and wave and excitedly say, "look its a Princess!" After the parade I took a trip to the carnival. Here I introduced Frieda to the Worlds BEST Corndog! They are amazing here! Not only did I find some really great food here, but I met so many fantastic people! Thank you Culpeper County!

Orange County Parade
What a wonderful parade, and yet another spectacular crowd! Not to mention, the very nice car I got to ride in! Thank you Colonial Auto Center of Charlottesville! I was able to meet so many great people, and reunite with several other fellow winners from Madison county here. When I went to the carnival I saw three little girls that said, " bow to the queen, bow to the queen." They were so precious, it is moments like this that I will always remember! Thank you Orange County!

Judging the Albemarle County Fair Pageant
Wow! What a experience! I Have always wanted to be able to try my hand at the opposite end of the world of pageantry. I finally got my chance here, and I loved it! This definitely made me appreciate pageant judges much much more, because this is far from easy! Especially with the really little ones, they are all so so adorable! I had a wonderful time judging my first pageant, and I think the Albemarle County Fair for inviting me. I can't wait to be a judge again!

Miss Virginia Reception

My visit to Roanoke...... The Miss Virginia Reception was an experience of a lifetime! The reception was held at the Hotel Roanoke in honor of Miss Virginia Hannah Kiefer. What an absolutely beautiful place, I can't think of anywhere else so fancy I have ever been! This was also my first time getting to talk with Hannah since festival week, and it was a blast! The neatest part about this whole event was that I was able to go around to all of the different girls competing for the 2008 Miss Virginia title on Saturday, June 28th and meet them. They were all wonderful girls, beautiful inside and out! I was even able to take a picture with each one of them, and they all wrote a message in my book! I am sure that Virginia will have a wonderful representative out of this group, and I wish all of the girls the best of luck!

Madison County Parade

My hometown parade!!
I had such a great time getting to ride through the parade where I saw tons of people I knew so well. I was very happy to see everyone that I had been representing, and to see how supportive they are, and how excited they were to see me! It is the best feeling to see all of the people you care about cheering you on! Another very nice plus was getting to ride in a beautiful blue Mitsubishi Eclipse that I decorated with sparkly pink flowers, thank you again Colonial Auto Center. But, the very best part of the whole night was that not only did I get to ride through the parade once, but twice! When I finished riding through on my car I got to ride on top of the new Madison County fire truck with my daddy! It was so much fun, everyone was smiling and saying, "Oh my gosh she is back on a FIRE TRUCK!" I am so happy that I had this opportunity to ride in a parade with my daddy, and what a more spectacular way then way up on top of a fire truck! Now this whole week of July 15th-19th I will get to participate in all of the fair events as Miss Madison County Fair! I love you Madison County, you are the best!
